on my journey to find pre-loved fabrics with an australian story, to create bags with a story that will then continue with the buyer
ok, this does not really link to bags but when i saw this product i just thought 'wow, great idea!' sadly, sydney doesn't exist (yet?). have a look: http://www.pizzolorusso.com/index.php?/project/crumpled...
.. at least the toes look nice! i'm still suffering post-bag-pick-up-depressions and feel like an ostrich just sticking my head into the sand. getting a set back like this really takes a lot of energy to pull yourself together and out of the ditch again. i don't even want to face it to the extend as to post images of the 'pig halves' bag .. BUT, everything bad has something good. and as a lovely person pointed out - there are actually some elements that were done wrong that should be included going forward. well...
chilled out sunday afternoon music from hey big aki - blends in perfectly with the rain outside :-) http://soundcloud.com/flavourcast/hey-big-aki-laidback
i went to mr. invention guy today with the promise to get one bag. the result - i reckon two pig halves sewn together would look better. absolutely shocking!!! and this result from a professional bag maker! pictures of the disaster will follow tomorrow. i will wallow in sorrow for tonight :(
after almost 2 months and numerous phone calls it seems that mr. invention guy has finally accepted the challenge. the bags are on the table with the machines and he is working on them. soooo excited!!! i hope i have them tomorrow morning.
summer is here - at least temperature wise. best time for a new musical inspiration from australia. i am looking forward to seeing them live in a good two weeks!the beautiful girls have gone reggae
monday morning and the question is back - has mr. invention guy finally made a bag? well, i will have to overcome my fear, call him and worst case pick up my components and get it done at my previous maker. she was awesome - but lacks the bag making expertise .. typical monday morning problems ..
just stumbled across this awesome webpage this morning: http://www.carryology.com/ well, it is awesome if you are a bag geek ;-) and best of all - it is australian!!! and i have already turned into a fan of the bellroy wallets ...
the little roadtrip with my kombi is coming to an end .. tomorrow i have to face mr. invention guy again. what are the odds that he finally made my prototypes? i would really like to use his expertise...
