on my journey to find pre-loved fabrics with an australian story, to create bags with a story that will then continue with the buyer
after i almost forgot to pay on time, i got the official document in the mail today: the trademark 'songlines' for anything that has to do with bags is mine. yeah!!! another small step taken. but not yet time to celebrate ..
great, I got the sewing machine now .. and then noticed that I only own benches and no chairs .. does anybody have a spare normal chair without armrests in sydney? i would jump in my kombi and pick it up. the closer the better though ;)
any ideas how to make a man bag cool? mr. r has been bugging me for a while now that he definitely needs a small bag to carry his iPhone, 2 sets of keys and his wallet around. the pockets on his pants are just not good enough. now it's my turn .. my task is to make him a bag. and when i think of a man bag, i just don't have a positive image in my mind. but not doing anything does not seem to be an option either .. inspiration PLEASE :)

which one should i get? please vote :-)
today i will try a few sewing machines with my materials to see which one is best to sew my bags. next step! and then i can go and buy one :-) summer is fading slowly and the sky is gray. time for a little inspirational music while driving around in the kombi on my test trip.

a new cafe in sydney that is aiming to be completely green. i love the concept of the floor that is made from old conveyor belts from a discarded mining company. if those belts could tell stories i...
.. true or not true? whatever your point of view is - 'make me iconic' from melbourne turns our city's icons into quirky cushions, tea towels and the like. what a great idea. now i just need to get my bags out of unique australian stories ready!!! http://www.makemeiconic.com/Products/Cushions/iconicchoicecushion/RGZC5NI5KG7AA.aspx (for the sydney version ;-))
