    last minute stress

    why are the last minutes before going on a trip always super stressful? well, at least always for me ..

    my whole passenger seat full of material and patterns i dropped off components for 3 different kind of bags at a new sample maker today, before heading off to germany. two weeks family and friends but also the opportunity to go bag trend scouting in berlin, hamburg and munich. very exciting! i'll keep you posted :)

    in two weeks i should pick up my latest prototypes, if .. well, suddenly mr. invention man pointed out that his sewing machines might not be able to handle the fabric as it is too fine. groundhog day? that was a problem i already had 7 months ago and this time i showed my bag before dropping off the components. fingers crossed that it works out ok. one step forward and not three steps back please!

    the name 'songlines' was inspired by the dreaming tracks of indigenous australians, which are invisible paths across the land (or, sometimes the sky) which mark the route followed by a localized 'creator-spirit' during the dreaming. The paths of the songlines are recorded in traditional songs, stories, dance, and painting ... I want my bags to pass on similar stories :-)
