    manufacturing in sydney

    handmade in sydney is the claim on these shoes. so there are pockets of resistance that can find decent manufacturing facilities here!!

    i think the claim that i is clearly 'no sweatshops' because they are made in sydney can be disputed. i do believe that gideon uses decent manufacturing, but sweatshops sadly also exist in sydney/australia.

    if you are into cane toad and kangaroo leather these shoes might just be the thing for you.

    Gutentag. Yep all our shoes are handmade right here in Oz...sydney in fact. And you're right, you do find "outworkers" doing the dirty jobs for Aussie desginers so yes, you can find sweatshops in sydney. We don't use outworkers - so there's no sweat in the making of our shoes. Join the resistance. Love Gideon Team

    Well, I hope I get lucky too and find a great manufacturer in Sydney ... no luck this year, alas, challenge for the next. First New Year's resolution down.

The paths of the songlines are recorded in traditional songs, stories, dance, and painting ... I want my bags to pass on similar stories :-)
