on my journey to find pre-loved fabrics with an australian story, to create bags with a story that will then continue with the buyer

weekend inspiration - the ocean and some music to go with it

while the world (yes, it seems to be the whole world) is preparing itself to watch the royal wedding tonight, it is the perfect time to sit back and relax. music from a young australian to kick start the weekend, while day dreaming looking at a picture of the ocean in manly this morning.

dane cox is also from sydney's northern beaches and has just been selected to represent australia in the 'world championships of performing arts' (WCOPA). 17 years young he is still at the beginning of his career. but the song he did at a wedding already sounds pretty good. a wedding song for world wedding day. enjoy :-)

  • songlines's Space

crafted from re-used australian materials, songlines' products inspire you to explore their past and create their future ... bags with a story. the start of the journey.

the name 'songlines' was inspired by the dreaming tracks of indigenous australians, which are invisible paths across the land (or, sometimes the sky) which mark the route followed by a localized 'creator-spirit' during the dreaming. The paths of the songlines are recorded in traditional songs, stories, dance, and painting ... I want my bags to pass on similar stories :-)
